On our way from the border of Scotland to the Tweeddale, we pass Newtown St. Boswells. We know the picture doesn't have a story to tell, but it is to show you what the area looks like. And it also gives you the feeling of 'coming home'...after driving non-stop from the south of England! The area is perfect for walking and hosts some nice 'treks'. Like the famous St Cuthbert's Way: it crosses through Newtown on its route from Melrose to Holy Island and Lindisfarne Priory. But to walk it safely and to realy enjoy it use the official Trail Guide. You can obtain it from the Scottish Tourist Board: just call their Information Line on 01835 863435.
